Don’t Leave Aesthetic Procedures to Amateurs

Cosmetic procedures are undoubtedly becoming more popular: According to a study by the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, 2.3 million procedures were performed in 2020, up 20 percent from 2000.

As the acceptance of aesthetic procedures has increased, so too have the number of practitioners. Unfortunately, not all of them are trained medical professionals or board certified surgeons.

“You wouldn’t want to get surgery from someone who doesn’t know what they’re doing, and the same applies to cosmetic treatments,” said Anne Chapas, MD, FAAD, a board-certified dermatologist.

The potential complications of seeing a non-certified professional for a cosmetic treatment are many: A non-medical professional may not be able to recognize or diagnose potentially dangerous pre-existing conditions in a patient that would render them unfit for a procedure. They’re also less likely to have the skill and experience to perform sensitive procedures, and generally lack the intimate understanding of human anatomy to provide quality treatment and care.

This is why Dr. Perito and the Perito Clinic believe in a no-compromise approach to men’s health and treatment, for medical and aesthetic procedures alike. Any operation performed, from penile sensation restoration to our patented UroFill™ procedure is performed by a skilled, board-certified surgeon with over a dozen years of training and experience.

Patients can’t and shouldn’t gamble with their health or with subpar results. Be sure to ask any provider for their credentials before undergoing treatment of any kind.
